“Was the medicine taken?”
Medicine Taken answers that one question, for the person taking the medicine and for the people who care for them. It is an iPhone app, made to be simple enough for anyone, and especially for people over 60.
Free for your own medicines, with no ads. The app owner collects no data of any type.
What it is
- Remember it. A reminder at each time you set, with a soft chime.
- Record it. One tap records what was taken, and when. Past doses can be entered afterwards.
- Share it. With Premium, the people you choose, your circle of caregivers, see the same day and can record a dose too.
What it is not
- Not medical advice. It doesn’t tell you what to take, how much, or what to do about a missed dose.
- Not a source of advice about medicines: medicine names and links come only from regulators’ official lists, and everything else is what you entered.
- Not a check on your medicines: it doesn’t check interactions, doses or whether a medicine is right for you.
- Not a monitor of your health, and not an emergency service. A record only means a tap was made.
- Not a replacement for your physician, pharmacist or care team.
If you’re unsure about a medicine or a missed dose, contact your physician, their office, or your pharmacist. In an emergency, call your local emergency number.
Premium: your circle of caregivers
Premium lets you invite up to about five people, family or caregivers, into your circle. They see the same day and can record a dose. One subscription covers the whole circle; the people you invite never pay. Premium is $3.99 a month or $29.99 a year in the United States (prices vary by country), with one free week. It renews automatically until cancelled in Settings › your name › Subscriptions.

Terms of use
Medicine Taken is provided under Apple’s standard licence agreement for apps. In addition: the app is a facilitator for keeping your own record. It is not medical advice and not a medical device, and you remain responsible for your treatment decisions together with your physician and pharmacist. Medicine names come from regulators’ lists as published; we do not check, change or add to them.
